There are five T.R.E.E. ‘sections’ in our A.P.P.L.E. Teaching Guide which include resources and templates for: modelling meaning, planning, learning goals, measures for success, games, activities, Core Word Displays, Individual Core Word Books, reflection, assessment and data.
Lesson Plans & Activities
We have also developed ‘Apple T.R.E.E.’ books linked to each reading book series. Each available series offers 30 lesson plans and multiple resources. The lessons have a language / literacy / literature focus. Most lessons have been paired with other learning areas (science, maths, art, geography, etc.) to showcase how teachers can create interconnected lessons based on their particular curriculum descriptors for learning areas and educational contexts. The lesson plans include decodable text activities linked to each reading book.
Decodable Texts
The decodable texts included in our ‘Lesson Plans & Activities’ books will be developed into stand alone reading books. The available books will be displayed in our ‘Apple Pack - Add-ons’ list, so please keep an eye out for new additions.
Words & Sounds
Our Core word readers and decodable texts offer opportunities for teachers to complement and consolidate various phonics programs. To support teachers in achieving this, our ‘Crunch Time!’ books list all the words and their associated sounds for each Series.
